Frequently asked
FAQ
- Is this Pokémon team builder really free?
-
Yes — the entire Pokémon team builder runs as a static site in your browser. No account, no email gate, no ads. If you want to support the project, share the link instead.
- Can I use this Pokémon team builder online on mobile?
-
Yes. The layout adapts to phones and tablets; the same Pokémon team builder works in Safari, Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and any modern mobile browser. Bookmark the URL or send it from desktop to mobile to keep your build.
- Are all Pokémon forms included?
-
Almost every Pokémon form is in the planner. Cosmetic and transient forms are hidden by default — flip on the "Misc. Forms" filter to surface them.
The handful intentionally excluded: form variants of Pikachu, Genesect, Pumpkaboo, Gourgeist, Xerneas, Mimikyu, Cramorant, Sinistea, Polteageist, Zarude, Poltchageist, and Sinistcha.
- What counts as a "Misc. Form"?
-
An unofficial bucket that covers cosmetic variants (Vivillon patterns, Furfrou trims), every form of Arceus and Silvally, and battle-only modes (Ash-Greninja, Original Color Magearna). They are hidden by default so the Pokémon team builder grid stays readable.
- Why can I switch Meowstic but not flip every gendered Pokémon?
-
Meowstic, Indeedee, and Basculegion have gendered forms that differ in moves, abilities, or stats. Because they meaningfully change a team, the Pokémon team builder treats them as separate Pokémon rather than a cosmetic toggle.
- How is the type analysis calculated?
-
Only typings are used for weaknesses and resistances; abilities (Levitate, Wonder Guard) are not factored in. Offensive coverage is computed from typings too, so the Pokémon team planner will credit a Water-type even if the species cannot learn a damaging Water move.
- Does the Pokémon team builder support Tera, Mega, and Gigantamax?
-
Yes — game by game. Mega Evolution is enabled on titles that natively had it (XY/ORAS, SM/USUM, LGPE, Legends: Z-A, HOME). Gigantamax shows up on SwSh and HOME. Tera Types are exposed on Scarlet & Violet (and the HOME mirror) via the in-slot Tera toggle.
- Where do the sprites and data come from?
-
Sprites are extracted from Pokémon HOME. Underlying Pokémon data was compiled from text dumps by @Kaphotics. Pokémon is © of Nintendo — this fan-made Pokémon team builder is not affiliated with The Pokémon Company.
